Light drinking during pregnancy increases miscarriage danger

Posted on January 31st, 2012 No Comments

A new study has been published  involving 90,000 women that shows a strong connection between light drinking during the beginning of a pregnancy and a high risk for miscarriage.

The results of the study found that the consumption of two glasses of wine on a weekly basis increased the possibility of miscarriage by 66 percent. Researchers still believe that advice should not be given based on the results of one study, but certain guidelines should be taken into consideration.

Light drinking was shown not to be as damaging if it was after the first four months of pregnancy. There are many serious problems associated with the consumption of products during pregnancy. Another product that has shown to have serious birth defects, if consumed during pregnancy, is the depression medication, Zoloft. This product has been linked to severe side effects in newborns. If you were taking Zoloft during your pregnancy and your child developed a birth defect, please contact the Zoloft birth defect lawyers of Williams Kherkher by calling 800-641-9810 today.
