Multdistrict ligitation Pretrial Order issued

Posted on March 4th, 2013 No Comments

A Pretrial Order that was issued recently set the first trial date for the Zoloft lawsuits in the multidistrict litigation (MDL) in U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, for October 13, 2014 tentatively. The order was issued on February 25.

The next schedule for Status Conference in the litigation was also recently set for April 2, 2013. Records show that some 250 Zoloft lawsuits in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania are pending. The lawsuits all accuse the anti-depressant drug Zoloft of heightening the risk of delivering babies with severe defects, like pulmonary hypertension, spina bifida, and other neural tube defects, when used during pregnancy.

Sadly, Zoloft, which was meant to provide necessary treatment for depression, has been found to cause serious repercussions for innocent children. In such a situation, victims may be entitled to be compensated for lost wages and other pain they or their family has suffered. At Williams Kherkher, our lawyers are committed to helping those who have been unfairly harmed by Zoloft seek legal restitution. Call 800-641-9810 to explore your options today.
