Pfizer Facing Charges over Zoloft Injuries to a Baby in 2008

Posted on February 11th, 2013 No Comments

Amisha Chatman, a local Indiana woman, filed charges against drug maker Pfizer, claiming that her baby suffered birth defects after she took Zoloft during pregnancy.

Chatman claims in a lawsuit she filed on January 15 that her baby suffered Supraventricular Tachycardia, which causes episodic rapid heart rate, when he was born because she took the anti-depressant drug Zoloft during the time she was pregnant with the baby. Chatman’s baby, Tyriq Wilson, was then required to have intensive medical treatment including regular heart rate monitoring. The complaint also states that Chatman’s baby will require surgery to repair the damage.

Both Chatman and her child continue to suffer emotionally as a result of what has happened to her baby after taking Zoloft during pregnancy.

The effects of a birth defect caused by the use of Zoloft during pregnancy can effect a child and their family for life. Speak with a lawyer from Williams Kherkher about filing a Zoloft lawsuit when your family has been affected in this way by calling 800-641-9810.
