Zoloft birth defects believed to be covered up

Posted on October 12th, 2011 No Comments

A couple located in Cleveland, OH believe that the antidepressant Zoloft was the reason that their newborn son passed away.

Their son suffered from a condition called anencephaly, which is a fatal neural tube defect causing there to be a large part of the brain missing. The mother was taking the medication, Zoloft, during her pregnancy but claims that she was unaware of the side effects the drug could have had on her unborn child.

They believe that Pfizer neglected to release crucial information regarding possibly fatal effects that the antidepressant could have on a fetus. The packaging wasn’t updated with this information and thus made the drug seem completely acceptable to ingest while pregnant.

If you used Zoloft during your pregnancy and your child suffered a birth defect, please contact the Zoloft birth defect lawsuit lawyers of William Kherkher  by calling 800-641-9810 today.
